

Ronn Jefferies LL.B is a former Counsel to the Attorney General of Ontario and now practices law privately in Toronto.
He was called to the Bar in 1983 and formed his own firm, Cooper, Jefferies and practised litigation, including Criminal, Family and Landlord
and Tenant, for six years.
During his 12 years with the Attorney General he contributed to drafting the Rent Control Act,
1992 and the Tenant Protection Act, 1997. He has demonstrated superior skills in Administrative
Law (appearing before Tribunals). He was instrumental in training and providing legal advice to
the decision makers under these pieces of Legislation.
He also has been employed by a Community Legal Clinic and the Office of the Ombudsman. Having worked for
the provincial government, he is well able to assist clients who are having difficulties with the bureaucracy.
He currently is applying his expertise in all areas of Board/Tribunal work, property law and has a special interest in assisting Tenants obtaining abatements
of rent and prosecuting landlords. He has a proven track record in this regard.
Ronn has been both a defence lawyer and a prosecutor. He has represented both Landlords and Tenants. He has worked on both sides of many fences and uses
that experience to his clients' advantage.

Ronn has taken many special cases on a reduced fee rate or no fee at all in exceptional circumstances. He entered law with the view to helping people and
has practiced that philosophy throughout his career
FEES
His hourly rate is $300 per hour with fixed rates for certain transactions. If you retain Ronn you can be certain that he will do the
